The Volvo XC60 PHEV is powered by a gas-powered engine paired with two electric motors. This gives you a supercharged engine with 455 horsepower and an all-electric driving range of 33 miles before being charged up. The charging can be done with standard 110- or 240-volt outlets that you can use from your home or at public charging stations. This allows you to attain over 60 miles per gallon in MPGe, the electric equivalent of the traditional fuel economy metric.
