The Volvo XC60 PHEV is powered by a gasoline engine combined with two electric motors. This creates a supercharged engine boasting 455 horsepower and an all-electric range of 33 miles before needing to recharge. Charging can be done using standard 110- or 240-volt outlets at home or at public stations. This setup enables over 60 miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe), the electric counterpart to traditional fuel economy.
