Indicators You Need a Battery Replacement
There are multiple ways you can identify the need for a battery replacement or to get it checked by our team at the dealership:
- If the check engine light or battery light on your instrument cluster comes on, you should get to a service center right away as that's a clear sign you might need something fixed with your battery or have another issue
- When your vehicle routinely has a difficult time powering up when you turn the ignition, that means the battery has likely lost enough power that it needs to be replaced
- Any battery leakage or corroded terminals will impact the performance of your battery and can cause other issues, so you should get it checked to make sure you can get it cleaned off by our team, or if you need a new battery
- If you're noticing your exterior lights are dimming or your cabin and accessory lights are dimming, even with bulb replacement, that means your battery power isn't strong enough to hold the charge and should be replaced
Our team will check your battery's power levels to see if you can keep going or need a new one. In the winter months, a cold day can cause a battery drain and you just need a vehicle jump. So too might accidentally leaving your vehicle lights on; whatever it might be we're able to see if you have enough battery power, can charge up your battery if it's still good to go, and have you on your way. Usually, in these one-off cases, you can get a charge with your battery by driving around for about an hour.
